Subject: this film is a must see…
this film was absolutely wonderful, i was so pleased to see that opposing perspectives were presented with equal respect. too many minds are filled with ideas that aren’t their own, notions born from few who’ve carefully orchestrated the hysteria and fear that the concept of using or “abusing” drugs now generate. For some the option to use drugs should not be available but, for others, like the film maker’s wise old father, the practice and culture of using drugs, with intelligence and restraint, could be a relatively harmless habit that would greatly enhance one’s quality of life. So many important points were made in this film, for both sides of the argument, the bottom line, from my perspective, is that drugs, in their natural , organic state, can be utilized as a tool to benifit humanity but, when the focus is shifted and the sole purpose of life becomes drugs, problems start to arise. Ultimately no government should be able to decide this for anyone and the state of criminalization and misinformation that exists these days is the real crime. In my opinion, the drug that takes the biggest toll on mind and body, alcohol, is perfectly legal, that tells me that political interests lay somewhere other than our collective health and well-being.
