eco design fair

Eco design _ Louise_PicFounded in 2004 by Textile Designer Louise Kamara, the Eco Design Fair is an annual retail event. The aim of the fair is to encourage direct trade between the public and designer makers – all of whom focus on environmentally friendly production methods and/or fair trade principles.

The fair provides a much-needed specialised platform for sustainable design in The UK, regularly hosting events in London.

Louise graduated from Middlesex University with a BA Hons in Visual Arts and Dance, specialising in alternative (recycled) textiles.

All exhibitors are required to meet certain criteria, and need to incorporate several of the following considerations in their work:

  • Recycled/recyclable
  • Organically grown
  • fairly traded
  • non toxic
  • Low energy-consuming in production/use
  • Cruelty-free

What you can expect to find at our fairs:

  • Fashion and footwear
  • alternative technology
  • home accessories
  • natural body care
  • jewellery
  • baby goods, toys and books
  • greetings cards and gifts
  • And other unique one-off original items.
